08.31.2017
The North American headquarters for Swiss-based Zurich Insurance Group has won the 2017 International Architecture Award from the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Designed by Goettsch Partners (GP), working with developer CRG and design-builder Clayco, the 783,800-square-foot, LEED Platinum-certified building reflects Zurich’s global reach and world-class stature while projecting an image of strength and stability.
Hundreds of submissions were received for this year's annual global awards program from architecture firms from across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and the Americas. A jury of architects selected 74 projects from 27 countries as award recipients. The International Architecture Awards are noted as the “highest and most prestigious distinguished building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design.”
