Amtrak Opens New Metropolitan Lounge at Chicago Union Station

Amtrak opened their new lounge today for premium customers at Chicago Union Station. Designed by Goettsch Partners as part of a series of ongoing renovations and improvements at the station, the new two-level Metropolitan Lounge features a variety of distinct seating areas, powered furniture for charging devices, and new restrooms with shower facilities, among other amenities. 

The new lounge now offers direct street-level access, drawing natural light into the interior and providing visual connectivity with the Great Hall. Located behind and above one of the two grand staircases off the Great Hall, the lounge opens up space that had previously been closed off and underutilized for decades.
